Join the 50th anniversary and reunion of FANNY – aka the Female Beatles – when the acclaimed documentary Fanny: The Right to Rock premieres on PBS on May 22 at 10 PM on PBS.ORG and PBS APP.

Dubbed the “female Beatles” and discovered by legendary producer Richard Perry, the all-female rock and roll group Fanny, from the early ’70s, has fans including Todd Rundgren, John Sebastian, Bonnie Raitt, Katie Pearson, David Bowie, and more. The film gives an inside look at this incredible band which added to the rock and roll scene back in the day – yet they are still one of rock’s unsung heroes.  Put together by two Filipino American sisters in Sacramento, Fanny went on to conquer the rock world and performed at the legendary Whisky A-Go-Go nightclub on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, thus establishing their notoriety.
